So for some time there has been a vague idea that there is some kind of loss of control that sometimes happens when flying just around or beyond the north-west corner of the field. It seems that cell phones ringing or being used on/near the flight line may be the culprit. This might even apply if the phone rings while on “silent”. This might be due to the nearby cell tower.

We strongly recommend you do not bring your cell phone to flight line. Cell phones have been identified as a contributing factor to the control loss issues some pilots have been experiencing at the NW corner of the field.
